Good Talent Mission

Saving the world

“94% of the materials extracted for use in manufacturing durable products become waste before the product is manufactured...80% of what we make is thrown away within six months of production."

(Paul Hawken, Amory B. Lovins, and L. Hunter Lovins, “Natural Capitalism: Creating the Next Industrial Revolution”, 1999)

There is an established body of evidence asserting that we are currently at a tipping point with regard to the impact our modern society is having upon our environment. There is a point, if not already reached, that we are approaching, beyond which irrevocable damage will be done to the planet and it’s ability to sustain life as we know it.

Our industrialised economy is the major contributing factor to this environmental degradation. Yet simultaneously our industrialised economy has the ability to act as a key solution to the problems we face. Although a difficult task, many believe that business is the only global institution with the ability to make a speedy worldwide impact for our benefit. At heart it is a question of “design”, the design of our ideas, processes and ambitions.

Fostering this design, the ideas from which they grow and developing the confidence to execute them is the key driver of this initiative. The objective of Good Talent is to act as a catalyst for change toward more sustainable practices within the business world. One key route to achieving this is by making sure the right individuals are placed within the right companies. Those companies that are operating in a responsible fashion need the best available talent to help them thrive. The bringing together of these 2 elements is where Good Talent creates value.

“Good people for businesses that work to make the world a better place”
